Le Mans .........

Or particularly, the 24 hour race, has been running since 1923, and at Lancashire and District Sevens (LADS) we've been making the annual pilgrimage for many years.

The longest race in the world, the Le Mans 24 hour has a history created by the greatest manufacturers and drivers in motor sport. Bentley, Alfa Romeo, Bugatti, Ferrari, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Porsche, Matra, Renault, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and now Audi have all added to this special historical event.

The 24 Hour experience can last a whole week! Starting on Monday and Tuesday with scrutineering, then followed by practice on Wednesday then Thursday night. Friday is the drivers’ parade through the centre of Le Mans. Finally comes the weekend and the race, 4.00pm Saturday until 4.00pm Sunday. Whether you eat, sleep, drink, spectate or otherwise, the race teams will continue giving 110% all through the night - this is what makes Le Mans so special.

About L.A.D.S.....

Lancashire And District Sevens is an area section of the Lotus 7 Club of GB.

For the Le Mans trips, the owners from the Lancashire area have been joined by owners from other areas of the NW of England - MADS (Merseyside and District Sevens), Cheshire and Pennine areas.

And it's not just limited to Sevens either. We've taken the odd hanger on from other marques also - Ferrari, Porsche, a GT40, to mention just a few!
